France Travail does not process the request without this document. Sending the letter too early, before receiving this payslip, results in an administrative rejection or, at best, a pending status that prolongs the payment delay.
If you have used a template letter for requesting the 2nd CSP payment found online, ensure that it explicitly mentions this supporting document and includes a space for the reference of the relevant payslip. A well-written letter sent without the correct supporting document remains an incomplete letter.
Specifically, the timeline is as follows: you resume a sustainable job, you wait to have worked three complete civil months, you obtain the corresponding payslip, and then you submit your request. Not before.
Condition for resuming sustainable employment before the tenth month of CSP
The second payment only exists because the first has been granted. And the first is only granted if the resumption of employment occurs before the end of the tenth month of CSP. This time condition is the most frequently underestimated.
A so-called “sustainable” job within the CSP framework corresponds to a permanent contract (CDI) or a fixed-term contract (CDD) of at least six months. Temporary assignments, short contracts, or very part-time resumption do not entitle one to the redeployment allowance. The request letter must therefore recall the nature and duration of the signed contract, attaching a copy of the engagement letter or employment contract.
Calculation of the allowance and amount of the second payment

- The subject of the letter, stated unambiguously: “Request for second payment of the CSP redeployment allowance,” with your file reference if you know it.

Check with your designated advisor which channel is preferred by your agency, as practices vary from one region to another.
CSP extended until the end of 2026: a stabilized legal framework
The CSP scheme has been extended until December 31, 2026, by an order dated December 24, 2025, without changes to the rules of the redeployment allowance. The duration of the CSP remains set at twelve months, the condition of resuming before the tenth month remains unchanged, and the two-part payment of the allowance is maintained as is.
This extension removes uncertainty that weighed on beneficiaries who entered the scheme in 2025. Therefore, letter templates drafted before this date remain valid, provided that the regulatory references cited have not been repealed in the meantime.
For employees laid off for economic reasons who are hesitating between the CSP and other schemes such as the redeployment leave, the stability of the legal framework until the end of 2026 constitutes a concrete decision-making element. The CSP offers an allowance often higher than the ARE during the first months, and the redeployment allowance represents a significant financial supplement to the resumption of employment.
One last practical point: keep a copy of each document sent and note the date of sending. In case of prolonged silence from France Travail beyond the usual processing time, this written record will be your main leverage to follow up on the file.
